as the sun set behind the horizon, the last of the light of the sun hit the side of the massive wall of the Avalonian Temple. from one of the towers of the massive wall, a ghosty figure sat on the edge. scratching the stone with her large wing-claws, "Lost" stared into the distance with her blood red eyes as they turned emerald green. turning her head to look behind her, "Lost" watched the multitudes, sighing, thinking of what things would be like if she wasn't like how she was. turning her head at the sound of a patrol, the patrol passed her without even realizing that she was there. lifting her right claw to look at it, she was able to see straight through her Crystal arm, only seeing a ghosty-like mist. leaning over the wall, "Lost" stared down into the water of the moat that surrounded the Temple. bringing her massive wings closer to her body, "Lost" leaned forward and dropped. feeling the cool air as she rushed through the air, "Lost" brought her four foxtails closer to her dragon tail as the water neared closer. as the water drew closer, "Lost" closed her eyes as she hit the water, not realizing about the roar of the water as it filled the void she made and the huge ripples from her entry into the water.

RANKOR On another one of his little field trips around the world, a black dragon wanders the land of Avalon. As usual the dragon has no idea where he is at for two reasons; the first being he is completely blind in one eye, and is starting to lose the light in the other; and two, he hasn’t traveled in so long he forgot most of the places he has already visited. Even though he can hardly see, and him being so old, the black dragon still enjoys traveling; though he uses his nose to navigate more now, not knowing when his other eye is going to quit on him.
As the day becomes dusk, and dusk into night, Rankor, the name of the black dragon, found himself in front of a large wall. He isn’t sure how tall it is, nor how wide it is; the only thing about the wall he does know, is that it has to belong to a temple, or a fortress. Then, out of no where, his left eye catches something falling, and his ears hear the sound of something hitting water. Without thinking, Rankor ran over to investigate, not knowing if it is friend or foe. Stopping at the edge of the water, Rankor looked down, once again not thinking, and didn’t see anything. Deciding to wait to see what happens; he just hopes that the “something” he saw fall can swim, if it is a living creature. That didn't take as long as I thought it would. In case you were wondering, the second paragraph could be split into a third, but I hate two sentence paragraphs.

as she slowed and making contact with the muddy bottom, "Lost" opened her eyes and allowed the water to pass through her gills, which are hidden behind the frills of her horns. as she looked up towards the surface, she started to get dizzy. deciding to check out what was causing it, she pushed up strongly with her back legs and shot towards the surface.
as she broke the surface and began to breath with her lungs, "Lost" was met with the form of a dragon, which she knew was male immediately by the energy that she drained. as her eyes stared at the dragon, she head started to spin. realizing that this dragon must be a Darkness or Light user, she swam to the other side of the moat before calling out, "Hello."

Rankor watched, and listened for any signs of movement in the water, when he heard something surface. He also heard it swim to the other side before speaking. "Hello to you too," he said, looking in the direction the voice came from. He wasn't exactly sure what he was looking at. Was it a dragon, or a ghost of a dragon? It was strange, but he passed it off as his eye playing tricks on him. "May I ask why you swam to the other side before speaking?"
Rankor looked at the ghostly dragon, thinking nothing of the appearnce, and he smiled. "I apologize, I should first ask, are you okay?" He spoke with a slight chuckle at his own carelessness for not asking that question first. He wasn't going to say anything more until after he knew this dragon gave him an answer.

"yeah, i'm ok," "Lost" said, smiling as she placed her right claw over a portion of her face. spreading her claws to see through, she watched the dragon. feeling the spinning stop, she asked before answering, "are you a user of Light, or Darkness? cause if you are, then that is the reason. for reasons unknown, i become dizzy and can't think straight when i'm near Light and Darkness users."

Rankor sat there, looking at what he knew to be dragon, but not sure if it is a ghost or not. He took in what she said and chuckled a little. "It's good that you're okay. I'm sorry about laughing. It is unusual to meet someone who gets dizzy just because a darkness or light dragon is near," he said. Rankor continued to look at the dragon, his left eye not focusing properly. His head is turned slightly to the right, an old habit of his, having lived with his right eye not being able to see clearly, and now nothing.
"My name is Rankor, and I am a wielder of darkness. May I ask, what is your name?" Rankor asked, knowing it is good manners to give his own name, before asking for another's. Though there have been times where he ignores good manners. He sat there, waiting for a response from this young dragon he just met.

"its ok, your the first person to actually not pass me off. and you may call me whatever you like, but i call myself "Lost"," "Lost" said, smiling. feeling the dizziness fade away, she started to swim over to the black dragon whose name was Rankor. bringing her right arm to rest on the bank, she looked up and noticed that Rankor's right eye was reddish-grey and his left was a fading red. thinking of how old he must be, "Lost" asked, "would you know anything about a dragon of crystal, Light, and Darkness?" thinking of her dreams and how Rankor may hold some answers,

((OOC: You have the eyes mixed up: it is the right eye that is completely blind, and the left eye that's fading. Plus they are both red, with his right eye being lighter in hue, than his left))
Rankor was a little confused by what the young dragon said. "What did she mean by 'You're the first person to not pass me off'?" he thought to himself. Before he could speak, the dragon "Lost" started swimming over to him, and asked another question, this time about someone specific.
"First, what do you mean I am the first person to not pass you off?" Rankor asked, thinking that it is a viable question. "Also, what do you mean I can call you whatever I like. You are a very strange, yet interesting dragon." Not really sure where he was going with that, Rankor moved on to the next question about a dragon of "Crystal, Darkness, and Light."
"I'm not sure about the Crystal part, but I do know a dragon who has the powers of both Light, and Darkness. You'll have to wait for the name, for it has been a long time since I spoke with him." Rankor still isn't sure what he was seeing is real or not. Or if it was actually a ghost, "Could explain why I'm the first to not pass her off. Then again, a ghost wouldn't make ripples in the water, nor have to swim." Now, his mind is hurting thanks to all the thinking he has to do.

"well, as you may see, i am nothing more then ghost-like. since hatching, i have always been this way and others always see me as no more then a ghost or a figment of their imagination. even if i talk to them, they think its nothing but the wind," "Lost" said, thinking of the many of times she had tried to talk to others.
thinking of Rankor's second question, she said, "you see, i have never known my name, or even thought of what it could be. so i call myself "Lost", for i hatched with no one around except for a dead dragon and because of this illusion, i am a lost dragoness. i care little for what i am called by others." looking up towards the sky, something flashed in her mind, making her reach for her head. losing her grip on the ground, she sunk under the water as the flashes started to increase. seeing several scenes flash in the water, "Lost" forgot to breath though her gills and started to choke. racing to the surface, she started to spit out water as something in the sky twinkled once, dispelling the illusion, revealing what she looks like truly. digging her right claw into the mud of the side of the moat, she breathed heavily as she said what she saw, "huge battle... shadowy creatures... giant rift..."

((OOC: Sorry for making you wait cosmos. Finally got bits and pieces of my muse to work for me, and got my computer back in working order. Damn viruses))
Rankor listened to what the dragon said, and found a couple of things a little funny. “I may not look it, because of my size, but I am an old dragon. One of the side-effects of old age is becoming blind,” he said, explaining how he can hardly see. “I’m not completely blind, but blind enough to rarely care what my eyes, or should I say ‘eye’ shows me.” Rankor would go on, but he has some other comments about what the young dragon said, and he wasn’t about to go into further details.
“I’m not so sure about calling you what ever I please, it may get confusing for me,” he said looking at the young dragon. Without realizing it, the dragon he was talking to wasn’t there any more. Rankor didn’t realize it until she came back out of the water, and mentioning a battle that happened over a hundred years ago. ”You just described the battle where I first met the dragon with the powers of light and darkness. Now that I think of it, he always seemed to have crystals with him, so I guess he has something to do with those too,” he said, trying to figure out what book she read, so he could go through it himself.
Rankor looked down, with a smile on his face. He may not know the name of the dragon, but he does remember the letter the name starts with. “I’m sure if the books haven’t been destroyed, you could probably find the dragon’s name in a book about myths. His name starts with a ‘C.’ I can tell you right now, believe me or not, it is not myth.” He wasn’t sure if the young dragon would believe him or not, most dragons don’t. Most dragons don’t even believe he is over a hundred years old.

listening to Rankor as he talked, "Lost" took note of books of myth. "if i may ask, where did this battle take place? i have read almost every book in the archives, and none told of a battle like the one i saw and of the dragon," she said, thinking of all the books she had read. awaiting his response, she looked up at where the twinkle had been. seeing nothing, she turned her head to Rankor.
(OOC - its ok, Rankor.)

Rankor thought for a moment, about the location the battle took place. It wasn't very hard, because he remembers exactly why he stayed and fought instead of not get involved. "The battle took place on White Isle. I fought along side the dragon in question. I sort of became the General of the battle too." Rankor laughed a little at his last sentence, knowing that at that time, he wasn't much of a fighter. "After the battle, a lot of dragons came up to me and said that if I wasn't there, the battle could have been lost. I don't look at it like that myself. If I wasn't there, the chance of winning would have been smaller and possible, but with me, that chance was greater."
Rankor, talking about his past, hasn't happened in a long time. The last time he remembers talking about his past, was when he first met Eclipse, and finding out that they had similer lives. As he remembered this, he remembered something else "The problem is, the recods of this battle may only have been in a single archive, at White Isle, in the White City. White City has been destroyed, so it may be very difficult to find the book that contains the information you are looking for."
((OOC: question, may I make it out like Cosmos taught Rankor how to create shadow clones using his darkness power? In the thread we are talking about at Dragon's Legend, Rankor asked to learn that skill.))

"the White Isle, huh. then i better make a trip really soon," "Lost" said, thinking of the maps she looked over. "thank you for remembering, Rankor. it must have been a long time ago," she said, then remembered it was night, "do you have a place to stay around here? cause if you don't, then you can stay where i'm staying until morning," she asked, climbing out of the water and dipping her right arm into the water to wipe the mud off. (OOC - absolutely yes, there were blanks in between threads, so Cosmos would of trained and helped Rankor. )

"That sounds like a lovely offer, but I'm afraid that I am going to have to refuse," Rankor said in response to the young dragon's offer for him to stay with her for the night. "I am more of a night time dragon. I hatched at night, and it is at night when I am most calm." He wasn't about to go into any more details about that, so long as the young dragon knows that he won't stay. "I do thank you for your kind offer. I would however, like to accompany you to the place your staying, to continue talking, if that's alright. From there, we will part ways."
((OOC: Sorry for the long wait))

"ok, i understand," "Lost" said, a little saddened by his refusal. spreading her wings, she turned to Rankor before flapping, saying, "just so you know, i have no residence, so i sleep anywhere i can. and i usually go swimming before heading to the archives, so i hope you don't mind if we head towards the archives?" flapping once and jumping, she was a quarter way up the wall when she stopped and waited for Rankor. (OOC - its ok. its been a little hectic lately with the return of The Dragon's Legend. )
