Remembering the Past (Cosmos)

The sun was setting in Avalon, a thin layer of gray clouds hung over the mountains in the distance. A cool westward wind blew...perfect for the hunt. A mid sized newblood paced below Variga, who was laying on a small ridge. He held a throwing knife by its blade, lining it up with the uneasy shadowseeker's head. He waited till the shadowseeker stopped and sniffed the air, then tossed the knife down. It hit hit's mark, the shadowseeker dropped dead, a puddle of blood slowly grew around it.
"Aw that one was too easy!"[/i] Variga slid down the ridge, as he went further, a familiar smell filled his snout. A memory came up, He was rolling down the same hill, crashing below, then limping to a tree. He wasn't sure when or why this happened, but he knew one thing for sure, It was before he became a shadowseeker himself. Variga stopped himself halfway down when he started to feel something he hadn't felt in many years...[/font]

as the sun set and the air cooled, a dragoness stared over the surrounding area. as she scanned the area, Chaosia caught the scent of something that had not hit her senses since when she met her soulmate. jumping down from the ledge she was sitting, Chaosia ran to where the scent was coming from. coming to a dead dragon she was told was a Shadowseeker, Chaosia looked around and thought of how the scent was that of Variga. 'Variga, if you are alive, then please answer,' Chaosia thought, hoping that the scent was of Variga and he had survived.

Variga watched as the strangely familiar dragoness ran towards the now dead shadowseeker, once she shouted his name, all the memories he had lost came flooding back. He begain to shout her name, but he was struck with a sudden fear, what would she think now that he was a shadowseeker, he remembered what Savern was like when Nari died and quivered, I wouldn't be able to bear that kind of pain...what if I can't control the urge... kept repeating in his head for a minute before he clenched his claws I won't know till I try, and avoiding her will only make it worse.
Variga proceeded to slide down the rest of the hill, grabbed his tail blade and slid it back on, and turned and smiled at Chaosia, "We always meet at the strangest of times don't we Chaosia, I'm so relived to see that you've made it all these years...You've certainly had much more luck than I."[/i][/font]

seeing the dragon slide down the hill, Chaosia smiled as she reconized the shape and size of Variga, but noticed that he had nearly the same type of scales as the Shaodwseeker. "Variga, it is you. i'm so glad your alive," Chaosia said, running up to him and wrapping her wings around him, tears forming in her eyes. "and yeah we do." remembering before the feeling she felt, Chaosia said, "i thought you had died, i felt it. i encased myself and the draklings in crystal to avoid everything," Chaosia finished, looking straight into Variga's eyes.

As Chaosia wrapped her wings around him, Variga felt loved for the first time in many years, but a suden hunger came over him, her warmth only made it worse. His mouth started watering while he pulled himself back, part of him wanted to bite into the dead shadowseeker, but the rest was worried what she would think... He took a few steps away from it and, trying to distract himself, he asked, "Where are the draklings now?"[/I][/font]

seeing something in Variga's eyes as he took a few steps back, Chaosia said, "their still in stasis in the Crystal Aurorarium. i didn't want them in danger until i found a safe place, but by finding you, then that will be easier." as she thought of what she saw in Variga's eyes, Chaosia noticed that its was something she felt once. turning her head towards the dead Shadowseeker, Chaosia realized now what it was. turning her head back to Variga, Chaosia said, "i know that feeling. go ahead," she finished, thinking of her hunger for the Darkness many years ago.

"That easy to tell huh... Sorry for not telling you... I was just worried what you would say, it's not every day you get turned into a bloodsucking freak..."[/I] Variga always felt shamed when be fed, these THINGS killed off almost all of his people, besides the ten who survived the constant attacks on his gang, he hadn't seen another wyvern in seven years, and now he was one of them. Well dieing won't do anyone any good... he thought as he stepped towards the dead shadowseeker. Takeing on last breath he bit into it's neck, sucking out whatever haden't already leakout out through the gapeing hole in its head and gulping it down. With a descusted look, Variga lifted his head back up, "Ugh! Makes you miss a good old cooked steak... and I have a perfact place to bring them, I'm the head trainer at that temple over there, they'll be safe there.[/b][/font]

"can you show me around the temple, so that i could at least get a scope on the area?" Chaosia asked, looking in the direction of a big building. as she awaited for Variga to lead, Chaosia walked up to him and said, "maybe we could search for any survivors. if you remember, i had a few watching over me back then when you left. they weren't there when i awoke, so there must be survivors," standing on her back legs and nuzzling his cheek.

"It's possible I guess, but who knows where they woulda gone or if they even made it, but if you really want to, I would really appreciate it, though I think It was be best to wait for tomorrow, its getting late. follow me, I'll lead you to the temple. He began to lead her to the temple, but stopped, I'm so glad I finally found you...its been hard all those years without seeing you..."[/b][/i]

"ok," Chaosia said as she began to follow Variga. "i'm glad also. it nearly tore me apart, that feeling. but now we're together again, and this time, we shall be together until the end," she said, standing next to him, smiling. 'and maybe this time, we can start our family,' Chaosia said through her mind, walking forward, shaking her tail a little.
