Power: Darkness, Telekinesis, Energy

Physical
Appearance: It is easy to tell a dragon when you see one, but it is hard tell the age of Rankor. Dragons will see Rankor as a juvenile by his size, but by his age, he is an Elder, though some call him ancient. Rankor also has a bulky build, which fools dragons into thinking he is slow. Everything about him is not average in any way, and dragons underestimate Rankor almost all the time because of it.
Rankor is a black dragon, with a white patch on the bottom of his left rear foot, which is a birth defect from hatching a few days early. His eyes are a dark red, with his right eye being just slightly lighter in hue then his left eye, and he is slightly blind in the right eye as well, and because of this his head can be seen turned slightly to the right, so his left eye can see more, but it increases his blind spots. As the years passed however, he is now 100% blind in his right eye, and 75% blind in his left, old age can do that to you.
His horns are long and the uncommon black color. The black color is also due to him hatching early, and the horns never developed properly, making them weaker then the horns of other dragons. His horns were once 3 feet in length, but he broke his horns charging into a tree and making them 1 feet and 4 inches in length. He never charged again. He also has black spikes running down his back and tail, which are also black but unlike his horns, they are fully developed.

Personal
Personality: Those who knew Rankor in the past, all the way to his childhood, they would know that he went through a total of five changes in his personality. When he was born, he was a happy kid. But that changed into him being quite, and emotionless because he was being laughed at about his size. Change number two happened after he met his soul-mate Eclipse. He became happy again, but with his quite, and emotionless nature still in him.
When ever he entered into combat, he went emotionless, because that became his calm state; without it, he would not be able to think straight. It was also apparent to everyone who observed him, that without Eclipse by his side, he was in his emotionless state. It was evident that Eclipse made him happy, and without her, Rankor seems lost. Which brings us to the third change.
The Black Wave, as it is called, came. A lot of dragons died, one of them being his soul-mate Eclipse. He went into a fit of rage, but in a few short days that sub-sided, but in it's place came depression. He wouldn't talk, nor sleep, he only stood on the spot where Eclipse has died. Then something happened that made him change again. He may not be happy, but he is much more helpful than he used to be, and much friendlier too.
History: It is unknown as to what happened, but Rankor’s egg has managed to separate itself from the nest. The nest maid tried looking for it but to no avail, thus the egg was lost forever, as the nestmaid thought it would be destroyed by now. However the egg was not destroyed and a couple of days later Rankor hatched from the egg during. Because of this early birth, he was born with some defeacts like the bottom of his rear left foot being white.
Rankor started wandering around, and came upon a lake, that had fish in them. He was hungry, and without thinking, he jumped at a fish, that had just jumped out of the water. Thankfully the water was shallow enough for him to stand since he didn’t jump all that far, because he thought the fish was closer due to the slight blindness in his right eye. He then heard a splash in the water, and saw a fish appear in front of him. Looking around he saw a dragon, who told him to eat. Since the dragon was bigger then he was, he picked up the fish and ran away back into the forest.
After the dragon that helped him left, he went back to the lake, and saw his reflection in the water. Seeing his reflection for the first time he got scared, and ran a little ways from the water. Noticing the dragon in the water wasn’t there; he went back and looked down again. He realized it was him that he was looking at, and he looked almost like the dragon that gave him the fish. He didn’t know who he was, or what he is for that matter. Then he looked up in the sky, and saw two dark figures flying just before they landed. The one who got him the fish came back, and he was frightened again. He ran back to the forest but stopped before entering to turn around to notice they aren’t chasing. Hesitant at first, Rankor slowly moved forward to investigate.
He was asked what his name was, but he didn’t know it. He didn’t even know how to speak either, so he didn’t quite understand what was being said. One of the dragons is the nestmaid that searched for the egg that Rankor hatched from, wasn’t at all surprised he wasn’t able to speak. The two dragons didn’t take flight but instead walked towards the direction of their home, and every so often would look to see if Rankor was following. Rankor did follow, all the way back to where his egg once was. He was then later given the name Rankor by the nestmaid.
Years have passed, and Rankor was now an adult, or at least his age would make him adult, but he was the size of a juvenile, and no one around seemed to know why that was. Rankor has learned many things, but he only ever spoke when it was important, or if it is the nestmaid, or the other dragon that gave him the fish, but he died, so he only ever truly spoke to the nestmaid. He started travelling to other places, because he felt as if there was more out there for him, then what he already knows.
Upon one of his home trips, he met up with the Red Dragon, Ciaran. He was given two choices by the red dragon, and those were "Stay and join his cause" or "Leave and never come back." This made Rankor angry, he didn't want to do either one, and he gave himself another option. An option he would have never chosen if he had a calm mind, fight. The fight was long, long enough for Ciaran to figure out his weakness. Upon recieving the wound on his right side, Rankor gave up, and took off, Seeing his home for one last time.
A couple weeks passed, and he is fully healed, or at least the best it'll be, and now has a scar on his right side. Within those couple of weeks of healing, he found his way over to the Ancient Grove. Rankor decided to stay, figuring dragons would hardly come here, so it gave him more time to heal. While at the Ancient Grove, he met up with Eclipse, and had a feeling that he never felt before, Love. He has found what his travelling was ment to find, or at least that's what he thinks, he has found his soulmate.
A few days later, Eclipse laid an egg, and then hatched, into Rankor's daughter, Celestia. Celestia is a mystery to Rankor, for she has the power of light, while Eclipse, and himself does not. That didn't matter though, he has a family, and that is what's important to him.
That family didn't last for very long, however. When the Black Wave hit, everything was destroyed. A lot of dragons lost their lives, one of them being Eclipse. Rankor went into a nasty bit of rage, then into depression a few months later. A full year has passed since the Black Wave, and Rankor couldn't deal with his depression any more; he was about to take his life, when he realized Celestia was missing. He never saw her body, and she was with him when the Black Wave hit.
Figuring that Eclipse would want him to look after Celestia if she was still alive, he got over his depression, and started looking for her. No matter where he went, he could not find her. Assuming she is dead, he went back to his birthplace to find it in ruins and made it his home once again.
100 years has passed since the Black Wave now, and Rankor still lives, though very old, yet still looking young. His Right eye no longer seeing light, and his left eye starting to lose its light; Rankor lives, as one of very few dragons who knew Cynder, and the Guardian named Flamus. In fact Flamus taught him how to split his breath attacks to attack two men at the same time, which Rankor was the first to learn how to use it effectively in combat.
With his age, and experience, many of the younger dragons seek his teachings, but he has not decided whether or not to let the Ancient teachings he has to offer die with him, or to pass them on yet.

Role-play sample: A starry, moonless, sky loomed over head, in the cold land of Dante's Freezer. Not many critters are out this late at night, as many are not nocturnal. A shadow could be seen moving around in the darkness, except it wasn’t a shadow it was a dragon. The red eyes blinked as the dragon looked around the area, looking to see if anything is coming. As the dragon moved, the tail is on the ground swinging from side to side, covering his tracks. Rankor is trying to find a place to sleep, because he was getting tired.
Having no luck where he was currently at, Rankore took flight, to find another spot to sleep. As he flew, the cold air hit his face. He found another clearing with few trees, and a small cave. He took a liking to the cave, and decided to sleep there for the night. As he situated himself in the cave, his eyes started to close. He got comfortable, and drifted off to sleep.
